Q: How hot is this stuff?
About 30,000 Scoville Heat Units. Spice lovers say "not that hot"
Q: Why are you doing this?
I have always been a fan of entrepreneurship, but when it came down to it, I couldn't in good conscience ask others to participate in a for profit endeavor. I want Uncle Bill's to be an example that not all great ideas need to be a a traditional for profit business. There are so many other's needs who are greater than mine, and if I can lend a helping hand while having a blast making hot sauce, why wouldn't I?
Q: What the heck is a Carolina Reaper?
As of writing this, the Carolina Reaper is the world's second hottest chili pepper at 2.2 million Scoville Heat Units (about 200 times hotter than a jalapeño).
Q: Why the heck would you eat a Carolina Reaper?!
The true key to a delicious hot sauce is in the aromatic additions (garlic, onion, cumin et) and the right blend of vinegar. I use the Carolina Reaper so that there is less hot pepper and more garlic while still delivering the perfect level of bite.
